i've got a 91 tt which gives off a code 21 which is mafs...it wont let me rev it past 2500rpm either....so i checked my connector n it seems fine...secondly..i tried to try on my brothers 90 N/A mafs but they are different connectors...i put it on anyways n the engine died...so that proved to me that my wires are still good cuz it reacted to the n/a's mafs. when i physically look at my mafs's little pin that heats up...it seems fine...i just wanted to ask if you guys knew something about this before i spend ~$350 for a new mafs
